Sister My Sister (Film) Screencaps

The other night I re-watched the movie Sister My Sister (I had seen it before but decided to watch it again since they have it on Netflix). After trying to find any decent screencaps of it online and having zero luck, I decided to just spend a few HOURS screencaping, editing, and uploading them all myself.

The movie is about the Papin sisters, “two French maids who murdered their employer’s wife and daughter in Le Mans, France, on 2 February 1933″. You can read more about the true events on this website or the Wiki article about them. It’s very fascinating (Some of the content on those sites might contain crime scene photos so view at your own risk).
The real Papins were pretty unattractive, but luckily Sister My Sister has Jodhi May and Joely Richardson. Jodi has been one of my favorite actresses ever since seeing her incredible suicide scene in the Last of the Mohicans, she is sooooo gorgeous. The aesthetics are also beautiful since it’s set in the 1930s in an old French house. I love this movie!

This entry will include screencaps of the ENTIRE FILM. So view at your own risk. I say this because not only is it an R rated movie (so yes it does include some violence & gore), but also because it might reveal things you would rather not see before seeing the movie yourself. Since this is a public diary, and I’m trying to be considerate to any type of person that might be viewing it, I’ve added some stopping points throughout this entry to signal that there’s going to be a major point in the movie coming up, to signal that you should stop viewing if you don’t want it to be revealed. I also added a “NSFW” banner to signal when the images are about to turn violent/gory, that only happens near the end.
The plot is pretty much told to you in the summary, and revealed at the beginning of the movie, and already obvious if you know anything about the Papin sisters, but I know there’s still people out there that want to be surprised by the little details, so if you’re one of those people, go ahead and skip this entire entry and wait to see the movie yourself.

       I’m glad you liked it! It’s worth it if even one person (other than myself) gets something out of it, so I’m glad. It’s the sort of movie that is not for everyone (like Trev probably was bored watching it, I don’t know), but I think you would like it. It’s mostly all set in the same house with only a few scenes outside of the house. And there’s only a few characters, all women, so it has a very minimal slow feel to it. But it’s great. And the real case is so interesting and also mysterious, so it makes it all that much better! <3

    I am also a fan of Jodhi May （She may well be THE favourite actress of mine now!) and is the first ever film I watched that has her in it and  is also the one that made me notice her beauty and acting talent. Although I have the DVD version of it, I have to say your screencap pics are AMAZING! Wonder how you made them–I don’t think I would have got screencaps as good as what you have here if I just screencap the DVD . You must have done some tricks to polish the pics to make them look absolutely gorgeous!

    Anyway, I want to ask whether you’d mind if I post some of your screencaps to a Chinese forum as part of the means to promote this film and Jodhi May? Thanks in advance!

       Just took a lot of patience, a lot of time, Jasc PSP (just to print screen and save them easily, no editing done), Netflix, and my keyboard! :) I didn’t edit them at all, just “print screen”ed them directly from the version that’s available on Netflix. It might be a retouched version, I’m not sure.

      Sure I don’t mind at all if you post them! :D Thanks for asking.
      And yes she is an amazing actress and absolutely gorgeous girl!
